What is e-Training for Dogs?
e–Training for Dogs, Inc. offers a menu of online dog training classes and courses taught by topnotch instructors. Each student will receive group and individual instruction over a period of time on how to train his or her dog in a specific set of skills and behaviors.
Research has shown that e-learning can be MORE EFFECTIVE than on-site learning due to the rich variety of interaction between instructor and student. Compared to the costs of travel and professional training, these courses are a BARGAIN!
Live sessions typically run from 4-12 sessions. You can either take courses live (recommended), or recorded. Recorded classes are 2/3 of the cost of a live course but are harder because you receive little to no interaction from the instructor.

- Graduation: Enjoy the satisfaction of training your own new (self) expertly trained dog, and watch him enjoy his new behaviors and skills!

Benefits of e-learning
- Personalized. Most of the courses will be offered “live” in a two-way interaction format, although some of the courses will be stored in the computer “library” and may be taken on demand. Each unique person and unique dog is taken through the training sequence one-on-one with the expert while they are learning the methods. Often, unexpected problems arise in training that are not covered in a book, video or at a workshop due to the individuality of both the dog and the owner.
- Ongoing. Students can bring their dog along step-by-step with the ongoing assistance of the expert, just like most learning which builds upon what came before. Online dog training classes through e–trainingfordogs.com will allow the learner and their dog to have access to the expert as they build toward their training goals.
- Self-paced. Courses can be taken when needed. The courses are presented as modules, allowing the learner to progress through smaller chunks of information that can be used and absorbed for a while before moving on.
- Increased retention and understanding. Online learning uses many elements in combination to reinforce lessons, such as video, audio, quizzes, slide shows, and interaction with the instructor and other students. And you can revisit or replay parts of the training that you need to review. Try that in a weekend seminar!
- Learn from the nation’s best trainers without having to leave home or send your dog away to the trainer.
- The dog learns from you, the person who will be regularly living with or working with the dog.
- Individualized professional assistance in applying training techniques as your dog progresses through the training sequence. Ability to get answers to your particular training issues/goals/barriers as they occur. Ability to ask your own questions in class, or even share a video of you working with your dog for timely individualized feedback.
- Freedom to choose the courses and classes you need when you need them.
- Learning from videos made specifically for your class about the issues you and your classmates present.
- Learning from classmates as they present issues about their dogs and hearing how the instructor responds.
- Saves money. No travel costs to attend seminars, and much cheaper than other modes of professional training.
