Obedience Training - Positive Reinforcement Series
Who should attend? Dog owners or trainers who want to learn how to teach their puppy or dog using positive reinforcement techniques. Owners will learn how to approach training and discipline in a positive manner from puppy to adult. For the very 
bright dog, you can also learn to qualify your dog as accepted citizens in our society (CGC) or compete in Rally O or the ultimate obedience: Canine Freestyle/Dancing with Dogs.

These courses are taught by Susan Sharp, Sarah Story, and Jan Craryof Canine Companions by Certified Trainers. The theory behind positive reinforcement is to consistently, and with good timing, give your dog something pleasant or rewarding immediately after s/he does something you want the dog to do. Providing praise or reward makes your dog more likely to repeat that behavior in the future. It is a powerful and successful method of shaping or changing your dog's behavior.
