Membership: International Animal Care College (IACC)
The IACC is a SPECIALIST ANIMAL CARE AND TRAINING INDUSTRY membership organization for animal care and training businesses & professionals offered online through the webinar dog training provider-E-Training for Dogs, Inc.
Courses are provided to students through E-Training For Dogs, Inc. We currently have 50 + members, past students, dog groomers, dog trainers, kennel workers, owners, behaviorists and many others currently working in the animal care businesses.
The college works on behalf of its members to raise the profile of their professionalism and commitment to the animal care industry, by offering a range of qualifications to help them further their career development. We also provide information to the public about training and qualifications available and accrediting graduates and their businesses to promote trained and professional services in the industry internationally and the opportunity to take
Continuing Education classes.
The college provides a quality assurance/accreditation of animal care professionals and businesses. All members agree to adhere to best practice and guidelines for their specialist field in the animal care industry when joining the College. All members will receive a Membership Certificate. All dues are on a yearly basis.
Types of Memberships
Associate (A-IACC)- £40 or $65.00 (U.S.)-Open to anyone.

Graduate (G-IACC) - £50 or $80.00 (U.S.)- Open to graduates of any course at IACC
Same as Associate, plus:
- Affiliate network membership to IACC
- Half price “Business Card” advertising in the “Online Dog” publication
Professional CanineSpecialist (PCS-IACC) - £50 or $80.00 (U.S.) - Open to graduate of a diploma program at IACC/ETD
Same as Graduate plus:
- Free listing on the IACC “Specialist Search”
- Use of IACC professional status logo on any of member’s promotional advertising accredited (e.g., PCS-IACC-DogGroomer)
- Eligible for 10% discount for any IACC courses
Graduate Business Award (GBA-IACC)- £85 or $135.00 (U.S.) - Open to businesses with staff who are our graduates.

- Free subscription to the quarterly “Online Dog” publication
- Use of IACC professional status logo on any of member’s promotional advertising
- Affiliate network membership to IACC

Accredited Senior Business Award (ASBA-IACC)- £100 or $150.00 (U.S.) - Open to PCS-IACC diploma graduates accredited business who our PCS graduates as staff or are owned by PCS graduates.
Same as Graduate Business Award, plus:
- One free “Press Release” (full page) in the quarterly “Online Dog” publication

Promoting Animal care, welfare and training to pet owners and animal care professionals by education.
IACC MEMBERS: Code of Professional Conduct
The IACC created the Code of Professional Conduct to set forth aspirations and guidelines for IACC members of all levels to provide outstanding service and pursue continuing education. It is the hope of the IACC that the Code will also provide owners of pet dogs with the confidence that all IACC graduates/accreditated businesses are fully trained, knowledgeable, caring and conscientious and will put the welfare of there pets as there priority in all services offered by or through them.
IACC MEMBERS CODE OF CONDUCT
- Provide honest, professional services of the highest standards.
- Improve animal care standards by training and informing staff/public of education available.
- Assess my there own knowledge, experience and qualifications and work within there own professional limits.
- Continue professional development by reading relevant material; attending seminars, and pursuing other educational opportunities.
- Treat all animals and clients with respect, taking into account their physical and psychological well-being and respecting clients’ wishes regarding any services or treatments carried out on their pet.
- Make sure that all animals in there care are kept safe, recieve immediate veterinary treatment if neccessary and carry out all services with regards for the animals welfare at all times.
- Respect the privacy of my clients and hold in confidence all information obtained in the course of professional services, unless otherwise agreed upon in advance. Keep proper adequate records of clients and there pets and advise clients of any terms/conditions/disclaimers in use within there services and have signed documentary evidence as required by any welfare bills or professional bodies with reference to service offered:
Examples: Dog groomers/pet sitters/kennel owners should hold signed authority to contact a vet in event of accident or injury or health concern. Canine massage/dog trainers should inform and have evidence that dogs have been seen by a vet prior to any treatments and the vet authorises such treatments.
- Be respectful of other professionals and not falsely condemn the character of their professional acts.
While the Code sets forth aspirations, and not obligations, any IACC member who is found to have been civilly liable for or convicted of charges involving:
- cruelty, abuse or neglect to animals or humans;
- crimes against humanity including but not limited to any violent crimes (i.e. murder, kidnapping), assault or endangerment of the lives of others;
- burglary, robbery, arson;
- business fraud, plagiarism or copyright infringement, slander or libel, shall have his/her membership terminated immediately.
The relationship between animal care professionals and veterinarians must be cooperative for the benefit of pets . It is required that IACC members understand that medical diagnosis, prognosis, prescription of, or recommendations for, administering medication are all part of veterinary medicine and They must not diagnose conditions and all suspected medical problems must be referred to a veterinarian before beginning or continuing a relationship with a client.
Finally, if any member is found to be acting in a manner that is egregiously inconsistent with this Code or the general mission of IACC shall have the right to terminate his/her membership.
