Purpose: A Guide for Persons with Disabilities who are in the process of getting a Service Dog to prepare their lives for a Service Dog.
Course Information: This course guides you through the steps needed to transform your life in preparation for the arrival of your Service Dog. You can expect the process of getting a service dog, at best, to take between six months to two years. Meanwhile, you can be getting ready. By following the steps outlined in this course, doing the homework, and participating in the activities, you will be ready when you get a Service Dog. When your Service Dog is ready for you, you will be Ready for your Service Dog.

What you can expect to learn in this course:
- To develop a personal plan, and schedule activities and resources needed for your Service Dog.
- To arrange your personal environment to be able to live with a Service Dog.
- To understand and be ready to be responsible for the needs of your Service Dog.
- To know about health care and grooming needs of your Service Dog.
- To have an emergency preparedness plan and supplies for your Service Dog.
- To explore and obtain equipment you will need for your Service Dog.
- To know how and arrange for transportation of your Service Dog.
